Japan’s longest serving prime minister, Shinzo Abe tried to rewrite the history of the fascist Japanese empire and its genocidal crimes. And he and his Nazi-collaborating grandfather enjoyed staunch Western support.
After World War II, the US government pardoned and recruited many of the fascists who had led imperial Japan, putting in power war criminals who had committed genocide in China, Korea, and Southeast Asia, carrying out biological warfare, human experimentation, and mass sexual slavery.
Multipolarista editor Benjamin Norton discusses how Japan’s political system still today is a one-party right-wing regime run by descendants of these fascist war criminals.

Ben, this is unbelievable work on your part. This could be your best post yet. Just mindblowing really, and I must admit that while I knew Abe was an ultranationalist, I did not recognize the extent of it all. Horrifying. The people in Japan, and Okinawa especially deserve better.

다만, 지도에서 한반도와 일본사이의 바다 명칭이 잘못되었음을 알려드립니다.
그곳의 명칭은 ‘동해’입니다. 역사적으로도, 해양명칭의 원칙에도 ‘동해’가 정확한 명칭입니다.
일본제국주의자들은 지난날의 침략의 역사를 되풀이하고자 ‘동해’를 ‘일본해’로 바꾸기위해 미친듯이 뛰여들었습니다. 통용되는 지도들에서 ‘일본해’로 바꾸는데 더러운 돈과 추악한 로비를 써왔습니다.
그 명칭은 그자체가 일제의 추악한 침략야망의 산물입니다.
우리민족은 수백년전부터 일본의 살인적인 침략을 당했고 20세기에는 나라를 빼앗기고 100만명이 학살당하고 840만명의 청장년들이 살인적인 강제노동과 징용으로 희생되었으며 80만명의 여성이 납치 되어 성노예로 비극적인 생을 마감했습니다.
그뿐아니라 우리말과 글을 없애고 수많은 자원을 강탈한 범죄국가 일본을 우리는 절대로 용서치않습니다. 저들은 오늘날까지 단 한차례의 성실한 반성도 배상도 하지않았습니다.
오늘날 위험천만한 일본의 제국주의 침략야망은 극도의 위험한 수위에 올라왔습니다. 이미 침략적 군사무력은 미제의 뒷배삼아 세계에서 손꼽는 순위에 올랐으며 남은건 침략의 구실과 명분을 찾는 것입니다.
동북아시아 지도를 사용할때 한반도와 일본사이의 바다를 ‘동해’로 명확히 표시해주시길 강력히 요청합니다. 또한 ‘동해’에 있는 섬’독도’를 저들땅이라고 우기며 침략예봉을 돌리고 침략명분을 마련하려고 미친듯이 달려들면서 ‘일본해’라는 명기까지 써가며 그 침략야망을 합법화하려하고 있습니다.
‘독도’는 수천년전부터 우리나라가 관리하여온 섬입니다. 역사적, 지리적 명백한 우리나라 땅입니다.
